Long-term partnerships can be an incredibly enriching part of life. So when a partner is injured, ill, or facing the limitations of aging, it often changes the dynamic of the relationship. Under such changing conditions, we need to find ways to adapt our roles. We also need to work to maintain our mental well-being. Communication is essential in moving forward. Work together with your partner to find new routines that work for both individuals. It’s possible to maintain a fulfilling and loving relationship as long as you continue to adapt and communicate.
